PEPA aims to raise the awareness of the palliative approach across all Health Professions by organising and generously funding short supervised clinical placements and education sessions. Do you care for patients who are at end-of-life? How can PEPA enhance your practice? Update your skills in the palliative approach through undertaking a subsidised workforce placement with a palliative care specialist service within a metropolitan or larger service. PEPA has three components: * Supervised clinical placements (2-5 days) * Integration of learning into your practice * Building networks of support with other specialist services Tailored workshops are also available. PEPA financial support Financial assistance towards travel, accommodation and backfill is provided. Maximum funding amounts and eligibility requirements apply. CPD points * RACGP - Earn up to 80 Category 1 points (40 points for a placement >10hrs plus an additional 40 points for implementing a system improvement/transfer of learning post placement) * ACCRRM - Earn over 30pdp points (30 points for a placement >15hrs plus you may be eligible for additional points for per and post placement activities). * Nurses - this placement has been endorsed by Royal College of Nursing, Australia, according to approved criteria. Attendance attracts 30 RCNA Continuing Nurse Education (CNE) points as part of RCNA's Life Long Learning Program (3LP).
